In Texas, boat and trailer sales are considered two seperate transactions and therefore, you will receive two separate titles. One for the boat and one for the trailer.
Boat fees: $463 Dealer Prep fee, $199.50 Documentary Fee, $40 Postage, Vehicle Inventory Tax. (Sale price x .2275% So, if sales price is $10,000 then your VIT tax would be $22.75) IF YOU ARE A TEXAS RESIDENT then you will need to add in 6.25% State Sales Tax and a $170 Title License and Registration.
Trailer fees: The trailer will be sold seperately and the purchase price will be $1.00 $199.50 Documentary Fee, $40 Postage, Vehicle Inventory Tax. (Sale price x .2275% So, if sales price is $1.00 then your VIT tax would be $0.23), State Inspection $15.50. IF YOU ARE A TEXAS RESIDENT then you will need to add in 6.25% State Sales Tax and a $170 Title License and Registration.
From time to time our titles are in transit however, the State of Texas does allow 21 working days in which to produce a clean and clear title.
